New Name for Blog
We have renamed the company’s primary blog to “Chronicles from a Caribbean Cubicle.” The link is http://blog.fwconsulting.com
The truth is that the blog is only very rarely written from a cubicle, and generally has its genesis in the seat of an airplane, but the power of alliteration is undeniable!
Francis Wade also maintains a personal blog, named “Moving Back to Jamaica” and can be reached from http://francismove.blogspot.com

CSME and HR Seminar — Port of Spain
I (Francis) have been asked to give a short talk and be part of a panel presentation as described below. I’m looking forward to it, and the lime that comes with a visit to Trinidad!

Upcoming Speeches in September, October and November

I’ll be giving workshops or speeches at 3 upcoming conferences in Trinidad, Jamaica and Barbados.
The Trinidad & Tobago Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (TTAIFA) will be hosting their Annual Sales Congress on 12th and 13th September 2005.
The Jamaican Society for Customer Service’ Conference will be on Oct 5 and 6th, and the Theme of the Conference is “Service — A Transforming Power.” There is a flyer for this event on the “News” link above or by clicking here.
The Human Resource Management Association of Barbados (HRMAB) has invited me to speak at their conference on November 2-4. The Theme of the Conference is Service Excellence Through Management Excellence.
While I have an idea of what I’ll be speaking about, I’m still thinking about what I want to say exactly (usually the 72 hour window before the event is when the best ideas come.) My overall goal in both cases is to find something new and provocative to say that runs counter to everyday management thinking.
This speech will be given with Peter Hall, who is a Senior Vice President at FirstCaribbean Internaitonal Bank headquartered in Barbados. Peter is a client, and also a significant thought-partner of Framework Consulting.
Moving to Jamaica
I’m pleased to announce that the “epicenter” of Framework Consulting is now moving to Kingston, Jamaica. While the US legal and mailing addresses remain the same, the company will have only a virtual presence in Hollywood, Florida.
This comes as the next step on focusing the company on serving our Caribbean clients. While we will maintain the same level of contact with US clients,and even to gain new ones, the proximity to the majority of our clients will only benefit all concerned with less travel, more informal contact and lower overall stress (it is hoped!)
