Nuptials

From Francis’ laptop:

My life as a single man is over!  On June 19th, I got married to a beautiful Trini way of DC, who grew up in New York, the new Dale Wade.

The wedding day was fabulous, and took place in Runaway Bay, Jamaica.  In attendance were 40 of our nearest and dearest friends and family.

If you are a friend, and are interested in seeing pictures, shoot me an email.

In conjunction with the marriage, I will be moving to Jamaica by the end of July, with my new bride, to start an entirely new phase of life.

While Framework will keep its mailing address in Florida, and a virtual HQ, the firm will for all intent and purposes have me working almost 100% of the time in the Caribbean.  This comes as no shock to those who know my interests, love and commitment.

The move will allow me to spend less time on airplanes — which I view as a grand thing!

The world is now so much a smaller place that being in one place or another does not matter as much, and I am truly grateful for that.

New Framework Consulting Website Launched

Framework Consulting announces the launch of its new website, intended to continue to deepen its links with its core constituency of Caribbean clients.

The site was designed by eGlobal Design, a web commerce and marketing company headquartered in Asheville, NC.

New features on the site included several avenues for sharing ideas with visitors, including a link to a weblog maintained by the President, Francis Wade, who said “While weblogs are a new phenomena in the Caribbean corporate world, in a year or two they will be a powerful method for breaking down the barriers that exist between the region’s companies and their customers and prospective customers. A weblog is the ideal place to share ideas back and forth in their raw form, before they are turned into more packaged ideas.”  Framework states that its company blog is one of the first in the Caribbean.

Visitors will also be able to download white papers and research reports written by employees and associates, past and present.

On the topic of sharing the core of its ideas, Wade said “Some firms try to keep their best thinking to themselves, based on a fear that someone will steal their ideas.  Here at Framework, we believe the opposite to be true — that ideas are strengthened when they are shared, and the more they are shared, the more everyone benefits.”

National Public Radio Transcript

Transcript of South Florida Marketplace segment that aired on Feb. 14, 2002, on WLRN, 91.3 FM, at 7:40 a.m.

A South Florida firm has a hand in the Winter Olympics, and another helps foreign banks detect money-laundering. This is Doralisa Pilarte.

Neither Jamaica nor Florida have any snow, but that didn’t prevent one from having a bob-sled team in the Winter Olympics and another from serving up a Broward company to help them reach for the gold.

That’s right: the Jamaican Bob-Sled Team underwent intense strategy-defining and team-building training with Framework Consulting of Pembroke Pines.

Amie Devero, vice president of knowledge and learning at Framework Consulting, says the company’s goal in the training session was to generate sufficient drive, vision and cohesion within the team to help them win a medal in Salt Lake City.

Only three members of the Jamaican bob-sled team were able to attend the Winter Olympics this year, through injuries, lack of funding and equipment failure.

The Jamaican bob-sled team is scheduled to compete in Utah this Saturday and Sunday.
