Expat Transitions

Jamaican boyOur work in this area started when an overseas company that was facing severe difficulties with one of its executives needed to answer the following question:  was the challenge a result of the executive’s nationality, or management style?

Framework undertook a study to put the answer beyond the question (it turned out to be the latter) and this project launched our work in assisting foreign executives and their families to make the transition to working in Jamaica.

We discovered that Jamaica is one of the most difficult countries to work in as an outsider, and that few companies did enough to assist their employees to make a holistic transition — including the challenges posed by the workforce, culture, crime, schooling, etc.

The business we began now includes consulting to companies, as well as a membership website and a series of ebooks.
